Rüdesheim is an ideal starting point for a wine hike through the vineyards up to the Niederwald monument. Enjoy the great view over the Rhine to Bingen.
Start your hike in the famous Rüdesheimer ‘Drosselgasse’. You then continue up the Oberstraße to the vineyards. In Oberstraße you will also find the valley station of the Rüdesheim cable car, which leads over the vineyards to the Niederwald monument. Or you can take one of the many wine hiking trails through the vineyards up to the Niederwald monument.
You can also take the Rüdesheim cable car, which will take you to the Niederwald monument. The view is wonderful. There is also something to eat and a small beer garden near the Niederwald monument. After you’ve stopped in, take one of the many wine hiking trails back to Rüdesheim.
Are you good at walking? Then simply take one of the numerous routes back through the vineyards.
Has it gotten later or do you want to be back sooner? Then the Rüdesheim cable car is the first choice. Enjoy the descent and the wonderful view over the Rhine.
