High International Awards for Austrian Wines

Two Sweet Wines From Burgenland Recently Received 100 Points Each From the Renowned US Wine Magazine "Wine Advocate" by Robert Parker.

Frauenkirchen (OTS) – This remarkable result shows once again the high quality of Austrian wine and the international class of our winemakers.

100 points for the 1995 dry berry selection Welschriesling from the Umathum winery in Frauenkirchen and 100 points for the 2012 dry berry selection Welschriesling from the Weinlaubenhof Kracher in Illmitz.

Weingut Umathum | Trockenbeerenauslese

So far, only four wineries from Austria have achieved this maximum rating: The Nikolaihof in Mautern, the Ernst Triebaumer winery in Rust, the Weinlaubenhof Kracher in Illmitz and Josef Umathum in Frauenkirchen.

Even internationally, the maximum rating of 100 points is only very rarely awarded, which makes this high rating all the more important for the international reputation of Austrian wines.
